- Instructions Database retains information on source, client details, type of property,
property details, and type of inspection. Completely selective enquiry and reporting on any
information, retained for billing, avoids re-entry of same data.
- Search Database with regular automatic update from myhouseprice.com, means that
searching can normally be carried out in house, with an option to do a Sasines search as
required. Both of these searches can be invoked from within the Instructions application.
- Other Instructions Database captures property data gleaned from in house activities.
As with all Navision applications, the data is fully searchable, specifically including
property type, which returns data on similar properties, and area, which returns data on
properties in the same area.
- After Sales Database retains information on events subsequent to survey, such as
transcript produced, by whom requested etc.
- Post Code Notes Database retains information on potential problem areas such as
subsidence, flooding etc.
- Additional Databases such as contacts database are available. A major benefit
in having these databases integral to the system is that data can be added organically
as it becomes available. For example, a name and address which has been entered for any
reason can be captured in the database automatically, thus the database can be grown
without a time consuming file loading exercise. Any data in the database can
be accessed by many search criteria and used in any of the applications, saving
considerable re-entry of data with its potential for error
- Documentation for standard correspondence is produced from templates held in
Word, for ease of editing, which have been populated automatically by the system
- Fee Notes are produced automatically by reference to instructions and fee scales,
and are posted automatically to the Navision sales ledger.
- Accounts are catered for by the comprehensive Navision accounting system which is
installed internationally in many corporate organisations.
- Surveyor Allocations provide for allocating instructions to a specific surveyor
so that workload by surveyor, by work type, by day, week, month etc can be viewed and/or
printed. This information is presented, along with various other enquiries, in Navision’s
unique trendscape, which resembles Microsoft’s Excel presentation in that data is presented
in matrix form, eg Surveyors in Columns, time bands in rows, both of which can be selected
and filtered by the user.
